 Being a vertically integrated company, Jinko invests heavily in their R&D facilities throughout the world. They have in house manufacturing of growing ingots, slicing silicon wafers to create solar cells, modules, frames, connectors and junction boxes.     Quality is the hallmark of Jinko Solar.  They have a team of 1500 quality control professionals who insist on stringent acceptance criteria and highest tolerance. Their products undergo a 54 steps quality control and inspection process. They insist on a continuous in line monitoring through supply chain and video or photo record for each cell and panel. Barcode ID quality is also traced. There is no communication loss between levels as the Quality Control VP directly reports to CEO of the company. They have a comprehensive management system that allows quality data. Intelligent alarm and stop mechanism prevents any deviation or errors.

    Jinko Solar has signed a strategic collaboration with DuPont, one of the leading suppliers of advanced photovoltaic materials such as metallization pastes, Tedlar backsheets etc. Hence they are able to provide customers with products made with raw materials of the highest standards to meet the reliability requirements of various installations and climate conditions.

 To ensure accuracy, Jinko Solar has a continuous and comprehensive testing procedure.  The mother module is calibrated by TUV every half a year and daughter modules are calibrated every week. They do thermal cycle testing on 45 modules from running production every 2 months and a monthly climatic testing on 45 modules from running production. Quality assurance ensures a 100% electroluminescence test before and after lamination, 100% zero micro crack monitoring and optimal test before shipment, a daily test of grounding behaviour and a daily welt leakage testing. To attain international quality approval, products undergo a series of tests in accordance with IEC like 4 fold thermal cycling test, 4 fold damp heat test, 4 fold humidity freeze test, dynamic mechanical load test and a 10 fold PID free test.

Some of the projects undertaken by Jinko Solar are:

  • Brisbane Markets – 1.6 MW

Jinko Solar installed1.6 MW Modules on the roof top of Brisbane Markets, Queensland. It is one of the top 10 largest installations across the country. Modules reduced the dependence on grid energy and  helped them with their environmental commitment

  • McGrath Hill Vet, NSW - 30KW

The vet centre operates 7 days a week. This along with long hours of surgery tends to bring huge electricity bill. Skyline assessed client needs and installed 260W Jinko Eagle Panels with Micro inverters which meets 75% of their needs.

  • Yulara Project 1.8 MW

Jinko supplied Eagle PID Free Modules to Voyages Ayers Rock Resort. The resort achieved independence from grid energy and reduced a minimum of 2733 tonnes of carbondioxide per year.

  • New Bendigo Hospital, Victoria - 200KW

Hospitals have more power consumption than the other commercial buildings. Bendigo chose to install the largest solar system available on the roof space. Jinko Solar Australia provided logistics support from its Brisbane and Sydney office and supplied via its Melbourne warehouse.

      Jinko Solar Smart Module has come up with solution for adverse situations affecting solar production. It is Maxim Integrated. Maxim pushes Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) deep into the module thus offering a 100times more granular power tracking than string inverters and 3 times more granular power than panel optimizers technology. Finer granularity ensures more energy output.

Globally, Jinko Solar has emerged as the top company for PV module sales. It shipped 14.2 GW of modules in 2019, compared to 11.4 GW in 2018 with an overall growth of 25%. Its net profit doubled to CNY 898.7 million from CNY 406.5 million a year earlier.

   In its 2020 outlook, it reiterated its initial shipment guidance and confirmed its plans to ramp up capacity. The company expects PV module shipments to range between 18 GW and 20 GW this year. Its module capacity is expected to grow from 16 GW at the end of December 2019 to 24 GW by December 2020.  During this span, cell capacity is expected to rise from 11.5 GW to 19 GW and while wafer output will likely edge up from 10.6 GW to 11 GW.

 On 1 April 2020, Jinko Solar Australia signed a one-year $37 million line of credit agreement with the National Australia Bank (NAB) with an idea of expanding its Australian business and supplement its working capital.  With this the future of Jinko Solar Australia looks promising.
